Invoice Studio Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Invoice Studio ('the App'), developed by Studio Phoenix, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you must not use the App.

2. Use of the App

Invoice Studio is a mobile application for creating and managing quotes and invoices. The App allows you to create professional documents, manage client information, generate PDF exports, and share them directly from your device. You agree to:

• Use the App only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms
• Maintain the security of your device and the data stored within the App
• Not attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, modify, or impair the App's functionality
• Not use the App to create fraudulent, misleading, or illegal documents

3. No Account Required

Invoice Studio does not require you to create an account or provide any personal information to use the App. There is no registration, login, or authentication process. The App is available for immediate use upon installation.

4. Data Storage and Privacy

Your use of Invoice Studio is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Key points include:

• All data you create within the App (invoices, quotes, client details, company information) is stored locally on your device only
• Studio Phoenix does not collect, transmit, store, or have access to any of your data
• The App does not use analytics, crash reporting, or any form of data tracking
• You are solely responsible for backing up your data; if you uninstall the App or your device is lost, damaged, or reset, your data cannot be recovered by Studio Phoenix

5. In-App Purchases

Invoice Studio is free to download and use with core features available at no cost. The App offers an optional one-time in-app purchase to unlock premium features ('Pro' upgrade). Key details:

• Free features: Create up to 5 total documents, standard PDF template, client management, line item notes, bank details, tax calculations, and PDF export and sharing
• Pro features: Unlimited documents, additional PDF templates (Modern, Classic, Bold, Creative, Refined), custom brand colours, and company logo upload
• The Pro upgrade is a one-time purchase providing lifetime access; there are no subscriptions or recurring charges
• All purchases are processed through the respective app store (Google Play Store or Apple App Store)
• Refunds are handled in accordance with the policies of the app store through which you made the purchase
• We reserve the right to change pricing with reasonable notice

6. User Content

Regarding content created using Invoice Studio:

• You retain all rights to invoices, quotes, client data, company details, and any other content you create within the App
• You are solely responsible for the accuracy and legality of all information entered into the App, including invoices, quotes, tax calculations, and client details
• You must ensure your content complies with all applicable laws and regulations
• You warrant that you have the necessary rights to any images (such as company logos) you upload to the App

7. Device Permissions

Invoice Studio may request access to certain device features to provide its functionality:

• Photo library and camera: Used solely to allow you to upload a company logo for display on your invoices and quotes
• File storage: Used to save and export PDF documents to your device

These permissions are optional and only used for the purposes described above. The App does not access your photos, files, or camera for any other purpose.

8. Intellectual Property

Invoice Studio and its original content, features, PDF templates, and functionality are owned by Studio Phoenix and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works of the App's content without prior written consent from Studio Phoenix.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• The App is provided 'as is' and 'as available' without warranties of any kind
• Studio Phoenix is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App
• We do not guarantee the App will be error-free or uninterrupted
• We are not responsible for data loss due to device malfunction, loss, theft, app uninstallation, or user error
• Generated invoices, quotes, and PDF reports are for informational purposes only; you are solely responsible for verifying the accuracy of all documents, including tax calculations, totals, and client information
• The App is not a substitute for professional accounting, tax, or legal advice

10. Termination

You may terminate your use of the App at any time by uninstalling it from your device. Upon uninstallation, all locally stored data will be permanently deleted. Studio Phoenix reserves the right to discontinue the App or remove it from app stores at any time without prior notice.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Changes will be reflected by updating the effective date at the top of this page. Your continued use of Invoice Studio after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of New Zealand, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New Zealand.

13. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary while the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect.
